The MAKER'S DIET

Theory:

The Maker’s Diet is a weight loss program focused on improving the health of the digestive system.  Its principles are based on information from the Bible on health. The Maker’s Diet 40-Day Health Experience is designed to attack the three i’s – insulin, infection, and inflammation. Many times in the Bible when God wanted to trigger a significant “turnaround” on earth, He instituted a forty-day plan. The Maker’s Diet 40-Day Health experience begins and ends each day with prayers of thanksgiving, prayers for healing, and prayers for petition.  The weight loss program is divided into three, two-week phases.

Phase 1: Day 1-14

  • Phase 1 is the most restrictive, limiting disaccharide-heavy carbohydrate foods such as grains, pastas, breads, sugar, potatoes, corn, beans, and legumes.  It temporarily limits fruits, whole grains, and honey, will allowing for the liberal consumption of protein foods, vegetables, and healthy oils.  In The Maker's Diet contains a complete list of foods to enjoy or avoid.
  • The Prayer Factor - For greater resolve and appreciation, you can begin and end each day of your journey to optimal health with prayers of thanksgiving, healing and petition. Examples of prayers are included in the book
  • "Partial Fast" Days – This diet includes partial fast one day per week in each phase. (Thursdays are suggested since fasting is much harder on weekends.) On partial fast days, you shouldn't eat breakfast or lunch, allowing the body to cleanse and rebuild itself.
